Counselling in Epsom
I'm Claire Smith, a BACP accredited psychodynamic therapist (216379) based in Worcester Park, a short journey from Epsom. I work with adults who want to understand what's driving how they feel, not just manage it.
Getting here from Epsom
My practice is at Manor Drive Medical Centre in Worcester Park, KT4 7LG. From Epsom station, it's a direct train, about nine minutes on the South Western Railway line. Worcester Park station is then a two-minute walk from the practice.
By car, it's a straightforward drive up the A24 through Ewell, usually about fifteen minutes. There's parking available near the centre.
Why clients come from Epsom
Epsom has a strong healthcare community, but psychodynamic therapy specifically can be harder to find. If you've been looking for a therapist who takes an in-depth approach, one that goes beyond worksheets and coping strategies, the short train ride to Worcester Park opens up that option.
Some of my Epsom clients work at Epsom Hospital or in the town centre and fit sessions in around their working day. Others are based further out, near Langley Vale or Woodcote, and find the A24 route convenient.
Whatever your reason for looking, the fact that you're here means something is on your mind. That's worth paying attention to.
How I can help
Psychodynamic therapy helps you understand the patterns that sit beneath the surface: how past experiences shape the way you feel, relate to others, and respond to difficulty. It's a thoughtful, in-depth approach that aims for lasting change rather than quick fixes.
I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, feeling stuck, grief, and that hard-to-name sense that something needs to change. Sessions are weekly, lasting 50 minutes.
Get in touch
